Auxiliary

The mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.

Members are direct and adopted descendants of members of the American Legion – including spouses, siblings, children, and grandchildren. For more information on eligibility, visit the American Legion's website.

Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Post 452.

Meet Our Unit Leaders

Get to know the dedicated individuals who lead our Legion Auxiliary Post.

Cindy Hilty - President

Cindy presides at unit meetings and ensures the unit adheres to the Constitution, bylaws, rules and regulations.

Millie Kraus - Vice President

Millie, along with Cindy, have responsibility for development of the unit program. She presides at meetings in Cindy's absence.

Sue Kraus - Secretary

Sue's great notetaking skills captures the business that was transacted at the unit meetings. 

Pat Hoffbauer - Treasurer

Pat safeguards the funds of the unit and ensures proper accounting practices and internal controls are maintained.

Linda Gutzwiller - Sargeant-at-Arms

Linda keeps order at the meeting and advances and retires the unit colors and their proper care.

Phylisa Hines - Chaplain

Phylisa provides spiritual guidance to the unit.

Laura Keller - Historian

Laura captures the activities and accomplishments of the unit.

Rose Spaeth - Membership

Rose manages our membership, including managing yearly dues.

Krista Ferry-Wilber - Hoosier Girls State

Krista works with the local school district to find candidates for Hoosier Girls State.
